RESIDENTIAL CLEANING CHECKLIST

Bedroom

• Dust off corners of room up to ceiling edges, ceiling fans, door panels, cabinets, shelves, chairs, baseboards, window sills and radiators

• Dust off all other surfaces and furniture

• Wipe and polish mirrors

• Clean/disinfect door knobs and light switches 

• Spot clean doors

• Change linens and make the bed (upon request) 

• Empty Trash can             

• Vacuum floor and rugs (including under the bed) 

• Mop if not carpet          

 

Bathroom

• Dust off corners of room up to ceiling edges, counters, door panels and window sills 

• Clean/disinfect toilets

• Clean/disinfect showers (including walls and floor)

• Polish mirror, glass and fixtures

• Clean/disinfect door knobs and light switches

• Spot clean doors

• Empty trash can

• Vacuum and mop the floor

• Take dirty clothes to utility or laundry room                                     

 

Stairways / Hallways

• Dust off corners of room to ceiling edges 

• Dust baseboards

• Vacuum the steps

• Wipe and polish hand rails    

 

Kitchen

• Dust off corners of room up to ceiling edges, counters, cabinets, refrigerator, chairs, door panels and window sills

• Clean/disinfect outside of appliances (refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, etc.) 

• Clean/disinfect surfaces of countertops, cabinets, shelves, tables

• Clean stove tops and oven

• Clean/disinfect door knobs and light switches 

• Spot clean doors

• Empty trash can

• Vacuum rugs

• Vacuum and mop the floor        

 

Living Room / Dining Room

• Dust off corners of room up to ceiling edges, counters, cabinets, refrigerator, chairs, door panels and window sills 

• Dust shelves, chairs, baseboards, radiators

• Wipe and clean furniture including TV

• Vacuum chairs and couches

• Vacuum and mop the floor if not carpet

• Dust radiators

• Polish glass, door knobs and/or floor     

 

Utility/Laundry Room

• Dust off corner of the room to the ceiling edges including cabinets and shelves 

• Dust the baseboards

• Sweep and mop the floor

• Clean/disinfect door knobs and light switches

• Spot clean doors

Bedroom

• Dust off corners of room up to ceiling edges, ceiling fans, door panels, desk, dressers, pictures, lamp shades, blinds, window sills

• Damp wipe baseboards, door panels/frames and window sills

• Dust off all other surfaces and furniture
